Editors note (3-25-15): After several anecdotal reports from customers/clients (in addition to the BHT/Extra Virgin Coconut Oil/Lysine factors), there appears to be a relationship to an "acid-state" in the body and a high incidence of herpes related outbreaks. While extrapolating the research, I discovered an additional factor that may relate to genital/lip herpes suppression. As I continue to do research in this arena, creating an alkaline environment in the body suggests a positive relationship to the suppression of herpes related conditions. For further reading ...

Butylated hydroxy toluene (BHT) has been used as a preservative/antioxidant since 1947 in rubber and petroleum products, and more recently, in plastics. It has been used since 1949 in many fat-containing foods, edible oils, and in cosmetics as a preservative. Thus, there is widespread human exposure to this compound.
Description: BHT (Butylated hydroxytoluene) - PHYSICAL STATE: white crystals (powder) in capsules.
Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil: Many people enhance the effectiveness of BHT (butylated-hydroxytoluene) by adding/mixing coconut oil. According to Research Scientists/Authors John Mann and Steven Fowkes, the two mixed together are more effective than BHT alone.
Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is high in lauric acid which has many health promoting values. It is a great moisturizer for your face/skin. It is a saturated fat (the good kind - medium chain triglycerides) and is a preferred cooking oil (up to 350 degrees) among many chefs throughout the world. Its preservative/antioxidant action (free radical scavengers) is especially known to support cell mitochondrial function.
There are about 2 grams of lauric acid in one tablespoon of dried coconut. High quality coconut milk (not oil) contains about 3.5 grams per 2 ounces. Coconut oil by far contains the best concentration of lauric acid -- about 7 grams per tablespoon. Coconut oil research scientists recommend that we should eat about 3 tablespoons of extra virgin coconut oil each day. This amount helps to protect against / and / in general and has an effect on increasing your metabolic rate along with the benefits of improving the condition of your skin and hair.
