AminoSlim-4 is a term created by Anabolic Xtreme, the company that makes this product. It is a combination of four amino acids (L-Tyrosine, L-Proline, L-Tryptophan-5HTP, and L-Carnitine). These amino acids have been shown in studies to help with mood elevation and appetite suppression. Working synergistically with the smart nutrient Aniracetam, AminoSlim-4 has a boosting effect on wakefulness, energy, well-being, and adaptation to stress (stress kills, by the way).

Ampakines are known to enhance attention span, alertness, and facilitate learning and memory. Dose: As a dietary supplement begin by taking (1) capsule first thing in the morning on an empty stomach for first 2 days before progressing to one to three (1-3) capsules one to two (1-2) times daily.

This stuff is interesting! I've taken many different things in my life for energy, appetite suppression, and mood enhancement but nothing quite like this. I started 8-24-09 taking 1 capsule in the AM and discovered quickly that 1 was too much for me (too much energy ... couldn't sit still). However, the mood enhancement and appetite suppression aspects kicked-in great. The next day, I backed-off to 1/2 capsule ... much better for the rest of the week. The 2nd week through now (9-14-09 -- 3 weeks total), I increased to 1 capsule in the AM. It lasts me all day and I have to agree with the claims above.

I started out at 15.5% body fat and now measure 13.7%. That equates to the loss of approximately 4 pounds of body fat -- a little over a pound/week. Body fat does not necessarily equate to actual weight that is lost or gained. After all, water weighs about 8 pounds per gallon. As people begin losing weight, most of it is water weight -- thus, the extravagant claims made by many in the weight-related industry.

I'm just not hungry or think much about food when taking this. Keep in mind that the bottom-line to weight-loss is about calories in and calories out regardless of the type consumed (carbohydrate, fat, or protein).

Some people have reported that consuming just 1 capsule in the AM has an effect on their ability to fall asleep later that night since it lasts for 12 or more hours per day. In addition, they don't require as much sleep as usual and feel quite refreshed and "ready to go" the next day. This may explain the reduced oxygen requirements to the brain that Aniracetam provides. If this is an issue for you, I suggest starting out with 1/2 capsule in the AM and play with the dose until you find the amount that works best for you.
