SODzyme with GliSODin & Wolfberry is a 100% vegetarian product using only plant sources for superoxide dismutase (SOD) catalysts and vegetarian capsules. The SOD enzyme activity is certified based upon the NBT assay. GliSODin is a patented, non-GMO, water-dispersible form of SOD lypholized extract from the edible plant Curcumis melo (melon). Wolfberry is found to have the highest Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) values of all fruits. The ORAC value of wolf-berry is 25,300 units per 100 grams, nearly eight times that of pomegranate. This information is based on laboratory analysis of ORAC, a method set by scientists at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University in Boston.(8) Compared with other highly potent antioxidants derived from traditional Chinese herbs, wolfberry was even more effective in scavenging superoxide radicals and in preventing their formation.(9)
