The actual change in serum total testosterone concentration was not significantly different among groups, but it increased 16.77 + 33.77% in the forskolin group compared with a decrease of 1.08 + 18.35% in the placebo group. In another study, scientists at the Penn State University College of Medicine2 found that Forskolin might be an effective weight loss agent ... especially for those with impaired cAMP (cyclic adenosine monophosphate) production.  Decreased intracellular levels of cAMP (cellular cyclic AMP) can include asthma, eczema, psoriasis, angina, obesity, hypertension and the negative side effects associated with these conditions.  Many obese people have lower than normal cAMP production.  Based on these findings along with in vitro studies (in the lab), scientists theorized that forskolin may be a safe, side effects free, useful adjunct to weight loss and maintaining normal body composition. These results may indicate that forskolin may be a weight loss and lean mass agent along with supporting healthy testosterone levels.
