Super EPA/DHA with Sesame Lignans
& Olive Fruit Extract is from a new source of
pharmaceutical-grade fish oil with a unique 35% / 25% ratio of
EPA/DHA virtually side effects free. The premium fish oil in Super EPA/DHA with Sesame Lignans & Olive Fruit Extract has been tested for pollutants
including dioxins, furans, PCBs and heavy metals. The oil
is sourced from the purest wild sardine, anchovy, and mackerel
fished in cold, pristine, deep waters off South America, where
there are significantly less environmental impurities.
Super EPA/DHA with Sesame Lignans & Olive Fruit Extract fish
oil is the product of a healthy, fully sustainable fishery and
is a renewable resource.
Super EPA/DHA with Sesame Lignans
& Olive Fruit Extract is manufactured to GMP (Good
Manufacturing Practices) and HACC (Hazard Analysis and Critical
Control Point) standards and are also in compliance with the
Canadian Food Inspection Agency(CFIA) standards. Our fish
oil supply is the first and only fish oil ingredient to achieve
US Pharmacopoeia (USP) verification, which is the most rigorous
quality assurance verification in the world.
|
The U.S. Pharmacopoeia is the
body that establishes the standards for the FDA.
Direct access to the best fisheries in the world are
critical for the manufacture of Omega-3 fatty acids fish
oil. This product is compliant with the Council for
Responsible Nutrition's (CRN) Voluntary Monograph on Long
Chain Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA -- strict industry
manufacturing standards, guaranteeing a high quality
product with numerous positive side effects. Life Extension has uncovered research that
demonstrates that the addition of sesame lignans to fish oil
enhances its beneficial effects.
When fats are consumed, they
are broken down into factors that either promote or suppress
inflammatory reactions. Sesame lignans inhibit an
enzyme (delta-5-desaturase) that causes dietary fats to be
converted into arachidonic acid, a precursor to the toxic
inflammatory factors prostaglandin E2 and leukotriene B4.
In his latest book, The Perricone
Prescription, Dr. Nicholas Perricone dedicates a section to
olive oil and refers specifically to hydroxytyrosol as its and most potent protective antioxidant. Dr. Perricone
states that hydroxytyrosol slows the breakdown of the skin
by stabilizing the cell plasma membrane. He recommends
daily olive oil ingestion for the positive side effects of
soft, shiny hair and strong nails.
Fatty acids are essential for life.
Besides storing energy, these fats are part of our makeup; they live
in our healthy cells, muscles, nerves, and organs. Conversely,
there are bad fats that must be controlled or avoided to maintain
benefits for your health.
The good fats are unsaturated fats that are usually from oils of
vegetables, nuts, and some fish. Since they cannot be produced
within the body, our diets must be EFA (essential fatty acid)
rich. Bad fats are saturated fats, typically from animal
fats, dairy products, avocados, etc. Without adequate levels of
good fats, dangerous saturated fats will replace the essential fatty
acids in our cells causing an array of negative side effects.
Dose: As recommended by Dr. Udo Erasmus, the author of several books
on fatty acids, states "In the beginning, you may want to start with smaller amounts and gradually increase to optimum levels which is approximately 1 tablespoon per 50 pounds of body weight; especially if you have a history of being on a low fat or a no fat diet, or if your liver is weak."
and, he continues "We should use oils rich in omega 3 and
omega 6 fats (2:1 ratio) and should be made and stored under protection from light, oxygen and heat.
I have found that about 15ml per 25 kg of body weight (about one
tablespoon for 50 lbs) is optimum, but
as little as 5-10 ml per day has health benefits."
One tablespoon equates to about 9
capsules per day (preferably in divided doses).
You can mix the oil in protein
shakes, salads, pancakes, fruit smoothies, etc. The possibilities are endless.
Only Life Extensions Enteric
Coated Super
EPA/DHA contains the healthy trio of concentrated
nutrients from fish oil, sesame seed oil and extra virgin olive
oil.

Enteric Coated EPA/DHA with Sesame Lignans
& Olive Fruit Extract contains twice as much EPA and DHA as
conventional fish oil capsules. For those with
sensitive stomachs or who experience burping of regular
fish oils,
Super Omega-3 is

stomach but broken down and released in the small
intestine.
Other Dose/Use Information:
- Two softgels may be taken
up to three times daily if so directed by a healthcare
practitioner or see above,
- Do not take with fiber
supplements,
- The olive polyphenols in Polyphen-Oil protect against LDL oxidation, suppress
free radicals, and stabilize cell membranes,
- Each serving of two
softgels provides the amount of polyphenols equivalent
to drinking two ounces of virgin olive oil,
- To minimize the possibility of what's called the
"burping side effects," store your bottle in the
freezer.

only under the supervision of your physician. Blood tests that
measure clotting time can be used to ensure these nutrients are
not reducing the clotting factors in your blood to abnormal
levels. |
